Cool Flame Technologies acquires German cool flame patent company.
This week Cool Flame Technologies , the mother company of Nordic Power Systems , signed a deal stating the acquisition of all the shares of the German patent company PKF GmbH.
The cool flame technology was invented at the Technical University of Aachen. The inventors have managed the technology rights through PKF as a dedicated patent company. A number of license agreements have been established with technology companies for use of the cool flame in different applications.
CFT and its subsidiary Nordic Power Systems is using cool flame for reforming of hydrocarbon fuels in combination with fuel cells in power generators (APU’s) as well as in EGR systems for emission reductions in ships engines.
